Total war, which to get?

So the total war series is on sale on steam and I want to try them out (never played any)

i loved empire, rome 2 is good now. geez i really liked them all. the dlc is kinda crap most of it should of been in the game firstly. most the bugs a have been fixed. you can't play some of them online because they stop giving out codes to play online years ago (empire) for what you pay if you like them you will put 50 hours in one campaign, if you love them like myself you can put 500 hours in them with mods

I recommend shogun its highly regarded and the detail just astounds me I would be lying to say ive played much though...the tutorial is daunting.

if you can get the dlc, it makes it a much fuller game and its cheap now so its not that bad. the grand master is something i would look at.
