Not trying to give a life story here but I bought my PC off a friend. He traded his Xbox one for it (worst deal in years I swear a q6600/Gtx 260 rig for an Xbox one, really bro?) It was assembled in 09' and, until I acquired it, had NEVER BEEN CLEANED BEFORE. Anyways let's just say, it was disgusting. My friend was under the assumption the front and rear exhaust fans were "thermal activated" and therefore they never had to turn on as this case has some nice airflow. Of course they weren't and actually the front and rear 140 mm LED fans are stuck. The front one I know for sure just needs some lubricant, however the rear one spins but rattles a bit until it stops (the fan itself is harder to move than others as well.) I unplugged the rear one as it was loud and obnoxious, and the front one doesn't move at all but I keep it plugged in for the LED. I've done research and i know for sure I need to lubricate them both before I try anything else, but was curious as to what I should use to do so. I've seen people use WD40 (which I have plenty of I'm from the south) and others using cooking oil (namely Pam.) I have both of these and which of the two is better to use if either is safe whatsoever? I don't have money to buy any sort of lube made specifically for fans so it's one of the two or nothing. Any input is appreciated, thanks, Vegetable.

Bit of an AMD fan I suppose. I don't bias my replies to anything however, I just prefer AMD and their products. Buy whatever the H*CK you want.

Probably the WD40, less dust will get gummed up in it.  If you can buy some cheap working fans, they would be better than fooling around with noisy old ones.

-Edit-

Saw your username, Pam would be the better choice, as it is made out of Vegetable(s).

Jk just use the WD40.

Thanks for the info, and actually the fans are quiet enough for my taste and they are even from a brand I've never heard of (Maofeng Industries)

dude.... you should kick your friend once a day for making that trade...

We can't Benchmark like we used to, but we have our ways. One trick is to shove more GPUs in your computer. Like the time I needed to NV-Link, because I needed a higher HeavenBench score, so I did an SLI, which is what they called NV-Link back in the day. So, I decided to put two GPUs in my computer, which was the style at the time. Now, to add another GPU to your computer, costs a new PSU. Now in those days PSUs said OCZ on them, "Gimme 750W OCZs for an SLI" you'd say. Now where were we? Oh yeah, the important thing was that I had two GPUs in my rig, which was the style at the time! They didn't have RGB PSUs at the time, because of the war. The only thing you could get was those big green ones.
