R9 290 GPixel/s Problem 30.3/ should be 60.3

gamingturkey

Why does the card name say AMD Radeon 200 Series instead of the actual name of the card? When I had my 750 Ti and GPU-Z it said the name was 750 Ti.

It could possibly be because the card is in an Idle state at the moment.

I think that could be why but i'm not 100% sure.

Try running a video on youtube and see if it changes.

That's how Gpu-z recognizes AMD cards.

I'm actually not sure, try running Unigine Heavan on the "Extreme" preset (NO CUSTOM SETTINGS, PRESET ONLY) and screenshotting the resulting benchmark score (F9 to benchmark)

This is how 200 series cards work.

I'm extremely familiar with the 290/290x benchmark-wise and will probably be able to point out the problem depending on your score.

Yeah then I honestly don't know why.

Have you noticed any issues when gaming?

Looks fine to me.

Doesn't seem to be a performance issue.

Actually extremely good for a 290
