Hello guys,

I am planning on buying the GTX 960. However, which GTX 960 would be the best for the price? Which brand should I choose?

Thanks!

If you're going to get a 960, I would recommend getting the MSI twin frozr V, as it's pretty cheap, is an outstanding cooler and has generally better overclocking potential than the likes of asus.

However, I would suggest if you hadn't already, to look at the AMD R9 280(x) as it's a similar price, infact cheaper in most places, and offers better performance and will last longer before needing to be upgraded due to the greater memory & bandwith.

i'm not disagreeing with you about getting a 280 but this video shows that the 960 does quite well against the 280x

The MSI TWIN FORZER V but I however reccomend Saphire Radeon R9 280 for $30 less for 35% more performance

I have looked at the R9 280 and R9 280x. However, as games get intenser, I am planning to SLI a 960. And as I have heard, SLI performs better than CrossfireX.

I think that the EVGA SuperSC version of the 960 looks pretty hot, the black theme fits my build whilst the Twin Frozr V version of MSI has the colour red in it which would look ugly in my case.
