get the i5 4690k and a amd GPU there you have your upgradability

Z97 mobo without an unlocked processor is waste of money.

you should get either an 4690k or downgrade to h87/h97 chipsets

For GPU you should get an R9 280/280x

It costs around the same price as the 960 with better performance.

BTW, there is no 960 ti or 750 ti 4gb.

I would go with the 4690k and the evga 960 4gb.
