I have had my gaming PC for a while now and love to play games but i have always wanted to go to a lan party i know only about two people from around here with gaming PCs (Oregon) i wanted to ask how many people have gone to a lan party and i know there are ones that people have and you buy a spot its like a 24 hour thing but are they worth if i would go with a friend just want to get to know more people of the PC gaming world thanks

If you goto a decent lan party it is always worth it, you will have alot of fun, the atmoshpere of it all is just so cool, if you get bored of the games you walk around and check out rigs, and meet new people. Biggest lan i went to my self was in Brisbane Australia, 2 stories 200+ people, was so much fun. And then most weekends i went to little ones like "Fragz" which was about 50 people but still alot of fun, I highly recomend it, it is a experience each PC gamer needs to try at least once.

Going to LAN first time is alway an experience. My first lan was Assembly Summer 2007. I went alone, knew absolutely nobody there and had so much fun. Wouldn't recommend going alone thought. Someday I will go to Dreamhack. If Asm is amazing DH will be mind blowing.
