OBS Now Playing HELP

For Some reason I just can't get scrolling text to work for me.  If i do it from a UTF-8 Text file all i get is a small box in the top right that is transparent in OBS.  Nothing is working.  I use spotify for my music.  Can somebody tell me how to get scrolling text that says "Now Playing | Artist - Song".

He's trying to display the name of the song that is playing on spotify on his obs stream, and trying to make the text scrolling.

 

First, you'll need an updating text file (a spotifiy obs plugin could do that).

 

Second, make a text source and use text from file, and put the scroll speed above 0 + other settings of your liking and you're golden.

 

I would suggest posting directly on OBS's forum if you have any further issues.

I have tried this.  I have used mutliple solution where it would output to a utf-8 text file and then i create a new text source, set a scrolling speed, but it doesn't work.  Any ideas why?

Your Text layer is above your Game Capture/Window Capture I'm assuming?  And your program/plugin is actually outputting text to the text file?
