Noctua DH-14

Hi guys so I just got a noctua dh-14 (sale for like 60 bucks), and while installing it into my 1150 socket, I put the backplate on and the washers, then went to put the CPU bracket part on and the thumbscrews had nothing to screw onto,  the threads didn't poke through and i couldn't install it at all. Has anyone else had this issue before? Should I just take the plastic washer out?

Leave the plastic washers, I had that issue before and it was due to the screws coming out from when I put them in so I held them in place and it was fine.

Leave the plastic washers, I had that issue before and it was due to the screws coming out from when I put them in so I held them in place and it was fine.

I tried that, I pushed them as hard as I could, I had my sister hold it in place pushing the backplate screws (all 4) and I was on the other pushing the CPU bracket part, still didn't work. Do you know why it won't?

Wait did you have the arms that the cooler screws down to faced the right way?

Yes, I had the screw in the middle that the CPU uses flipped outwards, and the bend is facing away.
