So my high school has this big end of the year projects where we are supposed to expose problems in society... you don't have to solve world hunger but you get the point. I really want to do the project on something computer related. I had this idea of possibly bringing attention to actually teachin about how a computer works... literally all the computer classes in the school district have a pathetic level of detail on the hardware level of teaching about computers. It was cringe worthy considering students will more than likely be around computers the rest of their life and all they know about them is that is contains a hard drive and memory... I'm debating between that topic and maybe bringing attention to how to protect your conputer. Explaining what types of viruses/malware/rats/methods and scum exist and how to protect yourself from them..... I just don't know where to start.... Like I want to bring my old acer aspire and dual boot windows and ubuntu(and have like a poster board explaining my topic etc.) in on the presentation day (somewhere around may).... the whole point of the project is to find and expose a problem and connect with a community sponsor to help raise awareness to the issue.... I want to know what you guys think about these ideas.... not allot of people in my class are doing tech related stuff and it really is sad... most of them are doing cliché topics like bullying or hunger strikes...I havent told my teacher about my topic yet. Hence why I'm asking for opinions...

It's a fine idea but with out giving it real thought I could tell you most people I know dont care how anything works as long as it works. The idea is cool but not very meaningful so depending on if that is part of the grade you get you may want to consider that. The "class" itself would be fairly easy to do which could be fun for you and everyone else. Good luck no matter what you decide to do.
