Hey guys, I joined the forum for the giveaways but now i actually quiet like it after some reading

I want to upgrade my PC but im at a very low budget and can't get anymore because im 18 and at the moment still at school for another year.

My PC has the following specs:

MB: ASRock K10N78 (AM2+ Board (AM3 ready) with only DDR2 support)

CPU: AMD Athlon x2 245

RAM: 4GBs DDR2

PSU: Linkworld LPK12-420W

GPU: geforce 9500gt 256mb

HDD: some crappy 250GB

SSD: Samsung Evo 840 120GB (got it for 30€ from a friend that accidentally bought 2 instead of 1)

I'm German and want to buy everything from German shops/in the very northern of Germany if used

I got 300€ to upgrade (i can't get anymore because I dont have time for a job and live out of the city without a car) my family is rather poor and we gennerally dont have much money to spare for things like that

Im not playing many games, mostly League of Legends, some Minecraft, SimCity (which i cant play at the moment) and it would be a blessing if i can play the new GTA V at least on shitty details when it comes out. Aside from that i use my PC mostly to listen to music, brows lots of Reddit and 9Gag and watch streams on twitch

hope you guys can help me, I know its not easy to find something nice in that price range, btw i can build everything myself

€: btw I am using a 720p 23" screen and got WIN 7 running

€²: i don't think this is the right forum because i want to upgrade the whole thing not only cpu/MB/memory, please move the thread if i've done something wrong

Not sure what you really want to upgrade but since the only hint I have is being able to play GTA V, then upgrade your GPU to something better. Try to check your local stores how much a better GPU costs vs your current GPU.

If you're thinking about upgrading the whole thing, or at least most of it, I believe this thread should be in new builds and planning. For 300 euros you should be able to scrap what you have (keep the ssd) and get a better system entirely.

Main PC: 4690k, LMG Edition G1 Gaming GTX 980, 16GB Hyper X Fury, Asus Z97-A, EVGA G2 850W, Crucial MX100 128GB, WD Red 1TB 2.5", Dark Rock 3

Laptop: Asus UX305 Monitor: Asus PB278Q Keyboard: Filco Majestouch 2 TKL Mouse: Corsair M65

@funzkack It would be better to upgrade PSU, but unfortunately that is not in your budget.

Upgrade PSU after upgrade ASAP

The MB doesnt support DDR2 and is allready over budget. would i be okay buying the 750 ti , getting a used Phenome II x4 9xx and upgrading the PSU ? or shall i get an other GPU if I plan to upgrade my PSU?

i woundn't buy a cpu just to scrap it as soon as possible.

If you sold anything you can from the old parts and put them toward this it would be the most efficient http://de.pcpartpicker.com/p/8XJtbv

I know its over budget , but not buying stuff you wont use is better

Good for you , welcome to the Pc gaming master race .

My brother has that gpu and its working fine , and above all it's easy on the electricity bill. You don't need pci-e connectors for it , it draws its power only from the MB itself.
