Need a little advise
Hi im Simon From Lithuania and im going to build a new rig. and actually im a bit confused and need some advises mainly on mobo but on other parts too...
What i have in Plans:
Mobo
Gigabyte GA-Z87X-UD3H or ATX/GA-Z87-D3HP GIGA-BYTE or something in these cards price range... if u have any ideas of bether mobo plz say important thing it should not cost more then 150 pounds would be nice to have it around 110 pounds im from east europe prices might be +- actually my point is i will do OC i would love to have somewhere 4-4.5ghz.
CPU
And here we come to next part rig is for games more then job or studies and im thinking about 4670k instead of 4770k only thing im afraid is that new games might be bether optimized for even more then 4 core since console's are geting multicores (would love to here your opinion about this).
RAM
Well next would be rams im not sure but now im thinking about DDR3 Corsair Vengeance Low Profile (blue/black) 8GB (2x4Gb ) 2133MHz not sure is it worth going 2.4 and 1.86 are like 1 pound cheaper in local shop so would like to hear more from u guys...
PSU
To feed this thing up i was thinking about Fractal tesla R2 since its 80+gold was thinking about 650 for crosfire but later realized im going hd8/9970 Probably anyway so no need for crosfire on my 1080p and probably gona stay on 500w since logan showed 300w from wall on stresed oced platform so more tought about this would be awesome.
CASE
Gona fit all this crap in =D Fractal design arc midi R2 since it seem to have what i want in filtering and WC options and price dont bite me in worst case gona take Fractal Design Define R4 Black Pearl since its good priced and wc is for silence =D and it would still fit my plans.
Storage
Im keeping my 120pyro ssd+samsung 1tb hdd for storage maybe even trowing 1tb out for father pc it become a bit noisy sometimes... and if i trow hdd i gona buy 1more ssd for raid0
WC
and just to say what my plans for water cooling is its simple 240x8 cooper monster rad in front d5 pump corsair sp fans xspc raystorm water block i think probably 2bay rez because i dont use optical drives but it may change due (just maybe 360 rad in top for cp-gpu) not sure maybe i would be good with something closed loop premade things h100i....etc some advises here would be nice.(i do own some sp120 quet edition on rig im using now so planing to keep them for new one)

Thats what atm are in my mind important factor is money so dont offer expencive staff... will wait for replays with tweeks and opinions ty u all forward (P.S. sry for bad gramma atleast its not google translate =DD )

Made on !7:00 so its worst time =D ussually have 97+mbs/90+mbps -=Fact Lithuania has one of the best internet in the world and best internet infrastrukture in Europe.=-

well budget is around 1k$ for psu case mobo cpu ram/ storage i have, gpu has it own budget and wc has its own up too 300euros but thing most important for me is what mobo to pick and psu since im started to thing about 80+ platinum ones around 600-650w

Didn't see a GPU there?

gpu is probably going to be hd 8/9970 (every day they say its 8k or 9k series so ...) since i lately had ati cards ... but gona look at price/performance ratio might buy 8/9950 if it be same as 6950 series =D since i had won lotery there 6950 bios of 6970 +oced around 15% it was super cheap for me ;)

The ud4h is the next step up from the ud3h for a minuscule cost and a few extra features I thought it the better buy  I tried to but into the cost the phobia ssd into your build the cost was not in the allotted budget  and you thought of giving your 1 tb hd to your father and I thought you should have a storage drive

well yea i probably give my 1tb for father but im not going to buy another hdd anyway =D even now with 5games all programs and windows longer then 1year ssd has 53gb free =D i dont like to have milion unesesery files i delete them =D so the idea to buy another ssd is only to do raid 0 =D but i think i probably keep those $ for gpu block =D u knew i was readin alot in gigabyte web but didnt see much of dif in there boards and what those letters mean like UD3h/4h/5h ok ud-ultra durable its clear some of them has P so probably performance but H?? HERO would be retarded to have mobo with hero name hate  such codenames by the way im not fan of gigabyte since it once burned my gpu and it self ;// don't ask me how it wasint oced or anything thing burned was pce-i slot;/ nwm... thing is im looking for atleast 5years warrenty japanies or solid caps.. that it could really life for those 5 years on oc platform since i doubt they gona improve enything so hard again like sb jump was... im not happy with asus quality but maybe they have something been using asrock for amd platforms but last one has some isues with audio and mic jacks in back they said drivers but drivers they gave dont work... so dont want to have them again ... maybe MSI but never liked theyr old bios not sure but gigabyte seems best to take from atm...

well i just watched other reviews of ud3 ud4 and see no real improvement for my needs so not sure is it worth paying extra in my case since i dont want red color in rig... since its black/white so blue fits it (cpu block leds blue too) and i seen tinytomlogan oced 4770k to 4.6k on even lower then ud3h it was d3hp so im still in same black spot of taking one from these too ....

and i do have great internet ;) so yes i can use youtube ;) 1080p no wories ;)

Just compared ud3h-ud4h

http://www.gigabyte.lt/products/comparison/list.aspx?ck=2&pids=4519,4490,4481,4488

in spec they are identical so i wil definetly pick blue ud3h instead and +money for psu platinum one as they best work on ~50% load wil consider taking 800w instead of 600w

hi i will try to be short building a rig and parts are:
mobo:Gigabyte GA-Z87X-UD3H or GA-Z87-D3HP
cpu: 4670k
ram: corsair lp ddr3 8GB (2x4Gb ) 2133MHz
case: fractal design arc midi r2
PSU: FD Newton R3 600w (platinum)
storage: i will keep old pyro ssd 120gb+1tb 7.2k rpm
GPU: will put hd7970 or will wait for hd8/9950 or 70

need sugestions with or if u could help me plan is oc it to 4.4ghz at least (the only thing i want ud3h is solid capasitors i think its good to have good quality components on oced platform)

and the last thing is it would probably wount be good to have h100i for this oc on haswell ? maybe u should put custom loop with monter 2x120x80 rad? if so what good performance/price block i should buy? i was thinking about xspc raystorm but maybe there is cheaper block with same performance?
thnx even if u read wink.png i hope you could help me to deside PS its gaming rig wink.png

Go with the UD3H. It's a solid motherboard. Just so you know, you can get to 4.4ghz on pretty much on even the cheapest z87 motherboard. It will depend on the chip more than the mobo. If you just want 4.4ghz, the h100i will do.

The faster ram won't help in gaming beyond 1600. save your money and get cheaper ram.

The platinum psu is overkill. A bronze will do.

ty for your opinion but bronze psu no ty platinum is 90+ and has really bether eficiency as for mother board im aware of that fackt but i want good solid caps + good quality components and best safe performance so thats why i want ud3h too but just found msi z87-g45 its cheaper and has japan solid black caps too only thing they are red as for ram maybe they dont do much now but they might later why to save 10$ and later spend 50$ more? as for h100i it might be good i thing but im afraid they might be noicy or not be efective with my sp12qe fans ;/

There isn't really anything too significant the UD3H has over the G45. You won't be missing much. Save your money.

As for efficiency: If you're set on platinum, You could go with a good 500w.

If you care about noise, you might want to consider noctua fans.

well sp120QE is like 1-2C lower performance but also works more silent then nf12 from noctua =D so no i wouldn't go with noctua ;) as for psu there are no 500w platinum awaylable in my country where was one but out of stock and it cost more like 10-20% seasonic that passive one and you should knew that platinum is most eficient at around 50-70% system should be around 400w so 600w should be used at around 66% and as i ussually play games maybe it should be used up like around 300w since cpu wount work 100% on games gpu should so would be around 50% i think its the sweet spot of this rig at that spot ... and how about integrated lan on both mobos? msi has some killer network ...thing and names like that just look more like joke and crap for me and ud3h has intel lan known for really good performance since in games stable ping is important that you dont get lag spikes ... anyone knows more about that?

From what I've heard, the integrated LAN should be pretty good. You'll be fine with whichever you pick.

yea probably =D since i decided to build system a bit later because not all parts are awaylable at local retailer i want to pick parts best i can for price (p.s. my pc works fine now 4,2 phenom 965 be,8gb 1600mhz ram, 120ssd 1tb hdd, 500w faltron silent, gpu is temporary since my 6970 burned i use 8800gtx i got free =D um i did play metro last ... at allmost max .. strange what 8800gtx is capable =D after so much years and few missing caps )
