Hey everyone. I am preparing to water cool my computer and currently have all the parts required except for the pump. I don't have a lot of money to spend on the pump and have questions regarding 2 pumps.

http://www.dazmode.com/store/product/ek-dcp_2_2_compact_water_pump/ This is one of the pumps I was looking at. Obviously it is very cheap and I am wondering if anybody has any experiences with it or knows anything. This is currently out of stock though.

http://www.dazmode.com/store/product/dazmode_storm_d5_strong_8-24v_pump/ This is the other pump. It is a bit more expensive but I assume better.

I won't have a very long loop so I do not need a really good pump. Will it be worth it to blow the extra $25 to get the storm D5? Or just wait for the cheaper one to be in stock.

Thanks.

The D5 is an amazing pump as pumps go.

If you want a cheaper alternative look for the Laing DDC. One of the most widely used and reliable pumps in the watercooling world.

I wouldn't recommend anything but the Laing DDC or the Laing D5. Those two are tried and tested pumps and have a very high MTBF.

Rather spend the extra money not as to avoid the need to upgrade in the future. You cannot go wrong with a D5.
