I bought a GTX 650 off eBay listed as new (other).  Man I've had bad luck recently, but anyway.  I have 2 PC's one it works flawlessly in, the other it won't post video.

PC 1:

I7-2600K @ 4.5GHz

CM Hyper 212

MSI Z77 Mpower Mobo

4x4GB Corsair Vengeance 1600MHz Cas 9

CM GX 650 80+ Bronze

128GB Samsung 840 Pro

120GB OCZ Vertex 3

Radeon HD 7950 Vapor-X

CM HAF 932 Blue Edition

Samsung DVD-RW

PC 2:

I3-3210

ASrock B75

2x4GB DDR3 1600MHz Cas 9 from crucial

Using my GX 650W after the CX430 blew

CM N200

120GB Samsung 840

XFX HD 6770

Lite-on DVD-RW

It works flawlessly in PC 1 (mine) but won't post video on PC 2.  After the CX430 blew with the HD 6770 I tried the GTX 650 in my PC because I wanted to be sure it was DOA despite the fans working.  But it booted right up, win 8 auto installed 320.47 or w/e driver is out.  I did a bit of browsing no issue with it.  Issue is, I have no other PC with a PCI-E connector on the mobo to test it on.

Specs: Core I7-2600K @ 4.5GHz @ 1.35V, 4x4GB Corsair Vengeance Black 1600MHz CL9, Cooler Master Evo 212, MSI Z77 Mpower Motherboard, Sapphire Radeon HD 7950 Vapor-X @ 1000/1400, Cooler Master HAF 932 Blue Edition w/ 3 Cougar Hydraulic Bearing 120MM fans (2 up top 1 in the bottom) replaced side panel with a window, and rear fan with a Cougar Hydraulic Bearing 140MM, Cooler Master GX 650 80+ Bronze PSU, Samsung DVD-RW, Samsung 840 Pro 128GB SSD, Seagate 750GB SATA III 7200RPM

The problem seems to be with your cx430 and not the 650.

Does PC #2 boot without a dedicated gpu?

Yes and it's running fine with an HD 6770.

Oh, I was thinking otherwise when you said the psu blew.

I think I'm at my wit's end here.

Onboard will NOT work with the GTX 650 installed, however I havent tested it with the HD 6770 installed.

Only has 1 PCI-E 3.0 and the 2.0 port would interfere with the front I/O.

I've read this GPU: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814127701

Doesn't play nice on some mobo's.  It's the one I have.

does it interfere with the main front io? (power button)

if not then remove them and put the gtx 650 in,just to see if it'll work.

Won't work because the case only has 4 expansion slots and the PCI-E 2.0 port is on the 4th slot and the card is a dual slot card.

any chance you'd be willing to take the mobo out of the case?

Here's another test I did.  I tossed in a 7950 GX2 from NVidia, rebooted 3 times with a black screen.  Tossed my HD 7950 Vapor-x, works fine.  Board doesn't like NVidia?

Specs: Core I7-2600K @ 4.5GHz @ 1.35V, 4x4GB Corsair Vengeance Black 1600MHz CL9, Cooler Master Evo 212, MSI Z77 Mpower Motherboard, Sapphire Radeon HD 7950 Vapor-X @ 1000/1400, Cooler Master HAF 932 Blue Edition w/ 3 Cougar Hydraulic Bearing 120MM fans (2 up top 1 in the bottom) replaced side panel with a window, and rear fan with a Cougar Hydraulic Bearing 140MM, Cooler Master GX 650 80+ Bronze PSU, Samsung DVD-RW, Samsung 840 Pro 128GB SSD, Seagate 750GB SATA III 7200RPM
