yes, In the realtek audio manager at the bottom you should be able to right click a picture of the jack you have plugged into (green for left/right out) and select connector re-tasking, a box will pop up and simply select the "front speaker out" instead of "headphone".

 

EDIT: don't be afraid to turn the volume up a fair way on the motherboard, this will help eliminate back ground hiss as the amp won't be amplifying more than it needs to.

Also, if it's just 2 channels (stereo), it's better to use the 'line out' jack. This jack is supposed to output at line level, the ideal kind of input to an external amp.

I thought that's what it did when you re-task it.

I thought that's what it did when you re-task it.

 

Isit? Forgotten already. It's been a while since I last use realteks (mine is now VIA, and I rarely use it anyway)
