Upgrade Help?

My 9590 can't utilize it's 8 cores.It can't even use 6 when I render.My 9590 only uses 6 cores when playing Battlefield and besides that no.I have my bitcoin's.11 bitcoin's to be exact.And it's my life savings of bitcoins.So I really don't want to put them to waste.1 bitcoin is $263.Sooo $2,893 of upgrades?Maybe?My system is in my signature.No way i'm upgrading GPU's until 390 come out so wanna save up a little.

Any ideas?Maybe X99?Why I want AMD GPU is because Freesync.What should I upgrade?Newegg excepts bitcoins so if someone can give me a PCPP list with Newegg only.I really don't know here to start.

I have a custom loop on CPU so when 300 series come out I wanna water block them and expand radiator's so $1500 worth of upgrades should be good enough

Switch them to cash... and save it. At 14, you don't need 3 grand of upgrades, or even a 3 grand computer. The only exception is if you are getting paid, but at your age, you almost guaranteed aren't, and don't really need it.

Keep your GPU, use one or 2 of your bitcoins on getting an i7 and new mobo. That's it. Save the rest

...but are the cores enabled or not? If they aren't just enable them. And an i7 isn't really worth the money you'd be paying in your case, the performance difference isn't large enough to justify spending 500 bucks on a new cpu and motherboard. Plus, you really don't need a maximus.

what's the question here? I thought you were asking how to make your cpu run correctly. Are you asking if it bottlenecks your cards? Probably, but not by much. I game at 4k with ONE r9 290, and it fares pretty well although of course I need to tone down settings a little (totally worth it imo). I suggest you keep your current cpu until intel has a 6-core consumer chip or AMD releases something game changing.

I'd recommend you don't change any of the internals.

 

If you feel the need to upgrade, just upgrade your monitor and call it a day. That's about 1 bitcoin... save the other 10 value converted to cash.

having money isn't a good enough reason to spend it. I can guarantee you if you spend all your money now in 2 years you'll wish you hadn't. Eventually you'll want a car, or a motorcycle, or maybe you'll actually NEED a very powerful computer and you'll be stuck with old hardware instead. You may need to pay for your education. There are a lot of useful things you could do with your money and upgrading your rig, which is already good enough (ESPECIALLY at 720p), is not one of them.

But saving money and driving a 10 year old truck (albeit massively upgraded) and living in the house that is more than enough for my wife and kids, allows me to spend money on things that matter to me, like going on vacation with my family, or investing back into my company. It's what matters most. And at 14 or 16... you definitely don't know what you want yet.
