just saying its not my PSU its my mates

so the issue is when he comes out of a game e.g. game finishes on CSGO the PSU fan goes 100% for a second or two other wise its fine but what could be causing this he has a AX650 with a i5 4690K with a MSI GTX970.

when he had a 660TI and i3 2220 it did not do it

its not a huge issue just wondering why it does it?

Well, I'm guessing there is a cut-off temperature where the fan speed changes and it's bouncing up and down between that. Can you change the fan curve on the PSU? If you can't then you probably just have to live with it.
