Wifi adapter

So today I lost my wifi connection with pc (wont get in to details because it doesnt matter and is not fixable). But I wanted to ask which one is better of these two - PCI Express adapter or USB wifi adapter. And also what to look for when buying one.

 

Either way, what I look at is the reviews, looks for ones that have very few DOA or failure issues.
