I own a galaxy s5 active I don't have the worst experience but now my phone has kicked all sdcards and won't read them at all. While the cameras specs sound good I've found in real situations its not the best.
Anyone know any phones I should look into? I was looking at the s6 (I know still Samsung :/ ) but was super unimpressed when the camera was same spec as mine. I was also looking at the one m8/m9. But just give me some ideas.

Edit : After some extra tests today I do like the camera.

What's your budget? Also, if you're looking at the M8, why not the E8? Better specs, better camera, better battery life, and best of all, cheaper because polycarbonate back instead of metal. You don't need metal. If build quality is what you're going for, then HTC is always a good bet! Also ASUS, but this is judging only by the build quality of everything else they ever made... :P

Source: none, actually. I own a smartphone from a relatively unknown european/made in china brand, which works perfectly fine and i just spent some time researching for a new phone. The finalists were the E8 and the Zenfone 2.

I would recommend the M8 or the M9 if thats the price area you're looking at. If a you really don't need an astounding camera or better cpu performance I would definitely recommend the M8. I love mine, and it basically is the exact same phone as the M9, just with a lesser processor and camera, and a power button on the top instead of the side.

Heyyo,

Huh? You didn't like the camera on the Galaxy S5 Active? It has one of the BEST cameras on a smartphone... if you honestly dislike that 16MP shooter? You should probably look at getting a smartphone with a proper digital camera like the upcoming Asus Zenfone Zoom or a Nokia Lumia 930 or 1020(Windows phone) since they are known for great digital cameras on their phones.. but I think Nokia doesn't have SD expansion on a bunch of their phones.

The OnePlus One is a fantastic deal of a phone.. but you'll probably dislike the 13MP shooter on there since it's not the best but it is adequate. There's no expandable storate so no SD cards as well... but there had to be some corners cut to make that epic pricetag.

So... going by what you're asking for? It's a tough one. On the cost-effective side? Asus Zenfone Zoom. For the high-end side? Samsung Galaxy Note 4 (or maybe an S6 once that is released and proper camera reviews come out).

You could get an iPhone. They have great cameras. The megapixel count doesn't really help much once you go past around 8mp on a phone. It might look sharper, but you'll be sacrificing low light performance. Ideally, you want a camera that launches fast, focuses fast, takes a picture fast, has accurate colors, and also good low light performance. iPhones tend to do all that just fine and automatically. You can also take a look at some of the Nokia phones since they have some really nice cameras in them.

After tests today I do like the camera, the times I have hated it are at like concerts.
