Ok so i know almost nothing about this stuff but I'm interested and a quick learner. And anyways, i have a build I'm working on so i need to figure this out. So I'm building a portal themed pc and i need to make logo on the front of the case light up. I want to have a switch that has 3 options. Blue, orange, and off. I was looking at the circuit i would need for this and all the parts and i could build it, but idk how i would power it. And i was also wondering if there was an easier way than building this myself on a bread board or something. Like i realize i could use an rgb strip with the remote, but i don't really want to do that cause i only want two colors and a switch instead of a remote (especially cause my entire bedroom is lit by rgb strips) so is there an easier way to do this? If not then how would i power this? Like what parts would i need to keep it from melting or blowing up or something? Sorry I'm new to anything electrical. Thanks :)

Just a normal guy with a constant desire to modify everything he owns.

Check out my current build here:

You could power it with Molex/SATA power also I think you would need some resistors (not %100 sure on that/what type).

For switches, you could use these:

Or you could use these:
