while I'm not so much of an audiophile myself, I do care about sound quality of songs and music just as much as comfort.

I've been using Panasonic RP-HTX7 for about 2-3 years now because of its relative comfort and sound quality especially for the money

(I got them for around $40 and they are fantastic for the money)

but recently I've been having discomfort with these headphones in extensive use with watching movies and listening to music that the part where my frame sits on my right ear gets pressed on too much to the side of my brain and it's just annoying the hell out of me to the extent that I can't wear them more than 30 minutes now.

sorry for the long intro

but my point is that I need a pair of headphones and I'm on a $100 budget.

I've been thinking to get the Sony MDR-7506 for its price/performance ratio based on my research

any recommendations otherwise would be appreciated especially from a person who wears glasses like myself

thanks in advance!!!

the MDR-V6/7506 should work fine as I have used my MDR-V6's without any trouble for long periods with my thickish plastic frame glasses frame.

do you know any particular differences between those 2 models?

it seems to me that those 2 are exactly the same but in slightly different price range

basically the drivers are slightly different and the 7506 has a gold plated plug because its their professional model.

yea best model was the V6 before the un announced revision but the only way to get those is used and to be lucky, so I wouldnt worry about it.

Hate to say this, but save some more and get Sennheisers HD555 or some nearly same model. They are really light and comfortable.

Hate to say it? Why would you hate to say that?

@TheProfosist, because stupid answerr to every question with price range is to give some option which is 50$ over it.

isn't that a open?

I'm looking for closed headphones

Ah, sorry, didn't read with both eyes.

SteelSeries Siberia V2 doen't seem to cause any problems with my glasses.

V2 is ok, but atleast for my years and head it's bit too tight. Longer sessions aren't really possible unless I want to live with red ears :)

Also the Siberia V2 is a headset not headphones and as headphones it doesnt do that great of a job.

There is something that I should point out about the Sony's though is they are rather revealing because there are monitoring headphones. Also due to this it does dip off slightly on the low end but through the rest of its frequency range its quite flat which is good.
