XBoxes and CDs

SOS please. So my mom has a collegue who has an mp3 disc and they don't have a PC(at all, i mean none) only an Xbox and we don't know which one either(*cringe*).

So the xbox doesnt seem to play said mp3 CD.

Question: Should/can Xboxes (i mean OG,360,One) read mp3 cds? The favor from collegue was to copy the CD content to a DVD. i never owned a console and im cringing at the whole thinng now.

I know the 360 can play mp3s from a CD (no idea about DVDs. yes, there's a difference). Chances are, the One can as well.

I used to be able to play CDs on my original XBOX.

My 360 Slim played CDs too. I remember from the acid-trip background. Lol

Thanks all then my work is done! Gosh, it sends a bad shiver down my spine thinking these people exist. An xbox 360 as the only hardware in the household. Getting a core2duo with 4gigs of ram would cost around 70€...

if the CD is not encoded properly or its region locked it might not play on a Xbox.(any of the three)
