I bought the most cuda I could afford. which was an asus mars 760x2 (dual 760s)

I was HOPING I paid for 2304 cuda cores.. but I guess technically the card is in sli

on Octane render's website they say to disable sli for best performance

let me know If I'm returning this card

fyi I have not completed my build or used this card yet or even used octane

Well i know that if you have 2 seprate cards and dont run them in SLI that u can use each card seperatly for your cuda needs. meaning one card does something and another card can be used somewhere else.

as for embedded sli goes try using this to figure out how many cuda cores you really have http://cuda-z.sourceforge.net/

I know that in Blender, you can use multiple cards at the same time to render.

It will disable SLI, but you can still use as many cards as you would like. I once rendered on a GTX 550Ti and GTX 260 (which are impossible to SLI) at the same time.
