How about installing the old Nvidia drivers again?

Hi guys.

A couple of days ago my computer started to have this random mini freezes that last 1-3 secs. They appear out of nowhere and it stays worse and worse as long as i keep the computer on. Sometimes it only takes like 30mins for them to appear, other times i use the computer for 2 hours or more and they dont even happen.

When the freeze happens, sometimes i can move the mouse pointer and others i cant. Sometimes the pointer changes to this weird vertical line with some colours inside of it. i was listening to music everytime it happened and the music continued no problem at all.

Ah this might be irrelevant but this started after i instaled the 320.49 WHQL drivers from nvidia. 

What's causing this? Any thoughts?

Currently my setup is composed by:

 

Asus Maximus V gene, i5 2500k, ocz vertex 4 ( running OS/programs/games), WD black 1tb, Asus GTX 560.

 

I bought the mobo and the ssd about 6 months ago and the hdd like 3 weeks ago. Please tell me its the older components that are bad!!!

Rollback your drivers to the previous version.

Do you have the old driver handy? As in fully downloaded?

Yes. Uninstall them, and when reinstalling them, check off Clean Install.

There is a "reinstall" (or similar) option, when you install nvidia drivers. Which should completly uninstall the old ones

So i installed the older drivers yesterday and i spent about 5 hours on the computer playing some games, some movies, on the internet, usual stuff and the mini frezees havent happened. But as i stated yesterday, it might take longer untill the frezees appear. Ill say something tomorrow!
