my friend had recently bought a gaming rig with windows 8.1 installed but there is a problem. when he is using his PC it would just restart randomly, i had this problem before and it was caused by me psu so i switched his psu and he is still having the same problem. i don't know what to try anymore so im asking you guys, any suggestions are welcome

does it post? if so when does it restart? upon getting into windows? could be HDD. or windows installation could be fcked. it IS windows 8.

did he purchase the pc second hand, or from a store?
