Flushing Radiators

After buying brand new radiators, should I flush them on arrival? I have heard horror stories of people not flushing a rad and them still having metal shavings still in the rads.

You should always flush your rads even if they are new because there will be still some gung left from making it

Just put some destilled water in ( don't fill it completely ) And shake it for 30 secs or so , repeat till there isn't any gunk left in the res ;)

Plain distilled water is good enough. If you want a GREAT radiator flush make a loop with one of these http://www.amazon.com/Culligan-US-600A-8-Inch-Undersink-Drinking/dp/B0002YXMG8/ref=sr_1_9?ie=UTF8&qid=1373067877&sr=8-9&keywords=under+sink+water+filter in the loop. It will catch all the metal shavings and any thing else while using a set amount of distilled water. I have seen this from a youtube guy called Ronsanut. He makes good builds.
