Hey guys I'm fairly new to building PCs but I'm looking to build a new PC. Primarily I want to use it to runs programs like Maya, 3DS Max, and Zbrush. I also plan to use it for some web development projects so I will also be running Photoshop, Illustrator, and After Effects. I would also like the ability to play games on maximum settings. Though the game's I'll be playing would most likely be Skyrim with GPU intensive ENB's, League of Legends, and maybe WoW. Would also like to play some of the new titles in 1080p but they are not my top priority.

Overclocking of the CPU and GPU is an option but If I can run my applications at stock levels that is also fine.

My budget is  $1000 USD or under.

I also plan dual monitors maybe upgrade to 3 in the future.

Resolutions would probably be 1920 by 1080 I could go lower.

For mouse I have a Logitech G502 Proteus Core

Keyboard I'm looking to buy a mechanical keyboard but right now I'm using a wireless Logitech keyboard

Now I have a power supply from my old computer which I built it is the Silencer MK II 750W I don't know if it would be viable for this build but it is an option would like to know what you guys think.

The case I have chosen is:

  • NZXT H-440 priced at $110
  • Just cause I like the side window  haven't bought the case yet but i'm planning my build around it so all the pieces can fit inside it.

Any help would be greatly appreciated Thanks.

Hey Imakuni thanks for helping me out. Based on your suggestion I made some changes due to some parts I have lying around. For storage I have a 500GB Samsung SSD and a hard drive that has 2TB so I just allocated the money for those elsewhere. I also decided to go with a CPU cooler and a motherboard that can support more 32GB of ram. Don't know if I'll use that much but I just wanted the ability to upgrade if necessary.

I also went with 16GB of the ram you recommended. Other than that everything else is the same.

CPU: Intel Xeon E3-1231 V3 3.4GHz Quad-Core Processor  ($241.99 @ SuperBiiz)

CPU Cooler: *Corsair H100i 77.0 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler  ($89.98 @ OutletPC)

Motherboard: ASRock H97M PRO4 Micro ATX LGA1150 Motherboard  ($79.89 @ OutletPC)

Memory: PNY XLR8 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR3-1600 Memory  ($104.86 @ Amazon)

Video Card: EVGA GeForce GTX 970 4GB SSC ACX 2.0 Video Card  ($329.00 @ NCIX US)

Operating System: Microsoft Windows 8.1 (OEM) (64-bit)  ($89.98 @ OutletPC)

Total: $1055.69
