SmartTV wifi connection?

So basically I have a SmartTV from Ikea, weird I know. 

But there's no included wifi-adapter for it, so I can not use the SmartTV function since it requires to have an internet connection.

I've tried a couple but you need to install drivers for it, which you probably can't do on a TV?

 

Does anyone of you know a good wifi-adapter that is compatible with a smarTV?

I'm sorry if this is a really noob question with an answer that's probably obvious..

I know that most TV makers, require you to buy their "custom made" overpriced WiFi dongle. Also there are like 50000 models of Smart TVs can you be more specific, what brand what model?
