My previous FX-6300 broke due to broken pins covered in thermal grease & i got a new one. One of the pins was bent (Along with 2 others) when i received it. I believe i bent the harmed pins almost back to perfect but i'm still a bit worried. It fit in the socket just fine, but is it supposed to be able to wiggle a little in the socket? It fits all the way, it just wiggles a bit.

And when should you clean your pins? How dirty is dirty enough to clean them? Do they have to be spotless? Hope someone knows the answers, thanks. :)

wiggle with lock arm up - yes

wiggle with lock arm down - no

the pins should not be an issue of "cleaning" unless contaminated prior to

installation. pictures of pin contamination would help. remember any dirt/debris

can reduce the connection of that circuit and render issues out the waazuu.

spotless is what brand new is.

Pins are too small to take a picture of.

To bend back the pins i used the tip of a mechanical pencil & i believe a small bit of dirt/debris got on it. It's a small black dot on one of the pins, it's SUPER TINY though & i have to squint to see it. Very small. Should i take it out and clean the pin?
