USB 3.0 not being recognized

Go to solution Solved by SirReallySam,

"You can also try your hand at disabling the USB controller devices and reinstalling it. Now how do you do it? Go to the Start menu, click on Run and type ‘devmgmt.msc’. Now try locating the USB controllers in the list that appears on the window. Uninstall all the USB controllers and restart your machine."

Are you sure you're plugging it into a USB 3 port? Did you install the correct mobo drivers?

I've installed the lastest USB 3.0 drivers direct from my MB manufacturer's website... it is still not coming up.

What other checks can i do?

This may sound very dumb, but have you restarted your PC after installing the drivers :P

Even if you have, I would still install them again.

What do people even put in these things?

Are you using a USB 3.0 device or 2.0 device. My friend has this problem with the USB 3.0 slots on the front of his PC. He was using a USB 2.0 device and he said that you had to push it in slightly further or something like that so it could recognise the device.

Setup: i5 4670k @ 4.2 Ghz, Corsair H100i Cooler, Corsair Vengeance Pro 16GB Ram @ 1600 Mhz, MSI Z87-GD65 Motherboard, Corsair GS700 2013 edition PSU, MSI GTX 770 Lightning, Samsung EVO 120 SSD + 2TB&1TB Seagate Barracudas, BenQ XL2411T Monitor, Sennheiser HD 598 Headphones + AntLion ModMic 4.0

Yeah i have done, it asked me to restart after i installed them...

The USB 2.0 ports are working fine, it's just the 3.0 having problems.. i'm not sure what could be causing it.

It is a USB 3.0 flash drive.. so it's compatible.
