I want to build a pc which can run games over 60 FPS at 1080P, runs silent (or nearly) and doesn't bother me all that much on my desk, I'll use the Prodigy.

What I want to buy:

- CPU Intel Core i7-4790k

- GPU Asus Gtx 980 Strix (if it fits with a 120mm fan in the front)

- RAM Kingston HyperX Fury (2x 8Gb)

- PSU Silverstone Strider (450W if that's enough)

- CPU Cooler (something from Noctua maybe, high might be a problem)

- MOBO Asus Maximus VII Impact

I need help with the CPU cooler and an answer to if the GPU fits

Switch the 980 for the r9 295x2, the PSU to a 850w one, the Ram to 1x8 (or 2x4) and the mobo to the cheapest Z97 you can find.

This should have the same price, while being much stronger.

I'm not an AMD fan, so I won't use it and 500W is enough but only a bit over the edge

Well, if you prefer to pay for branding, rather than actual performance, suit yourself.

But it's our job as forum helpers to tell you what is the best thing that you can buy with your money. So long as you understand that, do whatever you want.

The psu I suggest should be available in your area. The only 450W Silverstone psu I can find mention of are SFX format. Are one of those models the one listed in the OP?

If you provide a link to the store you want to shop at, better suggestions can be made.
