Recently (I think it start happen after the last time I reinstall Windows 8.1, about a few months ago)  my computer seem to have some RAM problem. After let it stay on for a while, usually after I left it on for torrenting over night, the Ram got full up to like 99% of my 12GB of Ram even when nothing is open and on Task Manager etc I dont see any process that using alot of memory, so I just think that maybe uTorrent have some memory leak problem and restart my PC and it work normally. But today when I first open the PC it was already at 97% and I havent been torrenting for a while, so it definitely not because of the torrenting, and also even after I restart my computer the Ram still stay at ~ 97-98%, only when I stop it completely and pull the Ram out then plug it in again that it goes down to normal ~17% with only Chrome open. So any one have any idea what might happen to my computer?

Also on a side note, my Ram is a mix up of 2 set, 1 2x4GB 1600MHz Kingston Hyper X ram that I bought with my old PC, and a 1x4 someone gave me when their computer broken, a Kingston 1333Mhz Ram, could it be that the mix up of those cause some problem?

i have been running into a similar issue, i just have a 2x8 crucial kit and after i upgraded to a 4790k and a gaming 7 gigabyte board my computer will start out at around 30% ram usage and climb quickly if I do much, usually if I restart after 10ish minutes it goes away  normal start ram % for me is 8-10%

It could be the memory mix up, but I would first try running a malwarebytes just to see if its not a malware/virus related and if not, then I would boot to a MemTest86 to check the health of the RAM. :)

I doubt theres a huge difference between the 1333mhz and the 1600mhz. For sure the single stick of 1333 could slow down the two sticks of 1600mhz but it wouldn't use 99%. When you turn on your PC, open task manager quickly and see which program is using most of your ram. If no program is shown, you stated that you were torrenting, maybe theres a malware/virus. If after malwarebytes, this still happens, maybe try pulling out the stick of ram your friend gave you and see if it still goes up.

Malwarebytes say that I dont have any malwares. The only thing that I'm torrenting is anime and it's from a trusted site anyway so I dont worry about it too much. So maybe something wrong with my Ram?

If there was something wrong with your RAM there would be other errors. Post your Details tab from Task Manager.

Right now it look normal since like I said after I pull the Ram out and insert in back it seem to be normal... for now... if it happen again I will post the detail screen when it happen

uTorrent is, now days anyway, a terrible program. I'd use Transmission or some other torrent client if I were you.

I like Vuze.

Make sure it includes all users, not just your own.

UPDATE: Well the ram usage still going up kinda quickly, and I still dont see any problem with the process/detail and everything, so I remove the 1333Mhz 4G Ram I got from my friend and... viola, seem like it working normal now. So maybe that's the problem. I will be keeping watch on them for the next few days just to be sure.
