I plan on building my gaming PC... eventually. But I've decided to start buying it part by part, and I wanted to start with a monitor. I don't have a desktop computer yet, so it'll just be one I connect to my laptop via HDMI. I wanted to go for a 27" 1440p monitor. The one I had picked out when I first started thinking of building my own computer is the Asus PB278Q, however I realize that it's now a few years old. I plan on pulling the trigger on this sometime next week, so I was just wondering if there are any monitors that are objectively better than the PB27? When I do make my desktop it'll be mostly for RPG's, so I don't need 144hz or anything. I just want a good looking screen, and I wanted to stay close to or under $440 USD.
