Hi guys, I want to know pls how much does the thermal paste really help the heat dispersion in a cpu\chip\gpu and how much better it is then putting a air cooler or water cooler without any paste ? how much heat it really transfer ?

 

When i'm not playing PC games i'm playing with my PC parts  Fans,Pumps,Filters,  :wub:  :wub:  :wub:

Please don't put on heatsinks without thermal paste. It is designed to connect the 2 metal bases with each other to get rid of the heat, it evens the surfaces. That and metal to metal contact doesn't really transfer heat efficiently.

I would expect a stock cooler with thermal paste to perform better than a custom water cooling loop without thermal paste. What brand you use doesn't matter much, but not using any will hurt performance a lot. I still use an arctic silver 5 tube that must be over 10 years old, works perfectly fine.

lol u guys I tried it without once on a Pentium and it was so cool, I really didn't get it, but with no O.Cing never got more the 60c full load

don't remember the brand of the cooler 80% it was stock or the cpu but I sure I didn't hallucinate that :)

Yes. Thermal paste is 100% mandatory our your CPU will die

It would be nice to see though a real Comparison with numbers and all who is the best cooler thermal paste less just for the kicks and viewers not for real desktop application :)

 

now don't get me wrong I do recommend and encourage everybody to use the paste and know that it working
