Replace processor in same system?

Go to solution Solved by IP man,

You can replace the cpu without a clean install of windows.

Sorry if this may come as a "stupid" question but I currently use a 4790k on my main system, with that my motherboard, the z97 MPower Max AC. But I just recieved the g3258 that i was going to put in my old h81 system, but before this processor came in i sold that. So my question is will temporarily putting this cpu inside my system mess with some drivers or motherboard info? And would I have to flash/reset anything to make it work? Or will it run just fine with no problems?

Also you may be wondering why in the world i am doing this.. Well I just wanna see how amazing this chip really is. Which after i will be putting my 4790k back in :)
