Phone suggestions

So i've had my HTC Desire HD since early 2011.

It's been causing a bit of a fuss over the last few months, i think it's time to wrap it up and give it to my mom.

 

As experts i expect you guys to throw some suggestions my way in terms of a phone that will last me about 2 years of general use.

I'm looking for something in the 200-450$ range preferably, it does help if it's durable, or has a nice protective case available.

 

I've been looking around this jungle you call the smartphone market, i'm at a loss.

I'm thinking of an android 4.4 or newer OS and a phone that won't die every 6 hours in my pocket. 

Preferably with a Micro SD slot.

 

I've been checking out the nexus 4, Asus Zenfone 5 and 6, LG G3, Motorola Moto G and the Samsung Galaxy S5.

A Note 4 is too big for my pockets.

Off contract, i've got a provider and service i'm comfortable with.

And yes, it's a bit all over the place with pricing. It might differ as i live in Sweden.

My advice is to stick with Google's devices such as the Moto G or the Moto X. IMO they are definitely the best devices in this price range and they will have the best support over the years
