Yep. Both are 1600 MHz, GSkill and Corsair Vengeance Pro. Both are XMP supported, which I use.

My Build: 4690k @ 4.7 GHz, ASUS Strix 970 @ 1316 MHz, H105, Corsair Vengeance Pro @ 1600 MHz, H440, RM750

Don't worry about how I got them. What I am asking is if it is possible to put the GSkill ram into my system for 16 gb total. I have corsair vengeance pro ram in it right now.

I saw a few people on the forum mix match RAM without issues. Never tried it myself though.

- Fresher than a fruit salad.

They both have the same latency, voltage, times, etc

My friend did this and claimed it causes instability..I personally dunno if it does though. also I imagine it only runs as well as the slowesr stick of ram you use..but im not sure on that.

80% I say it should work

 

20% is where you get lockups because the timings and voltage are mismatched even a tiny bit

Budget? Uses? Currency? Location? Operating System? Peripherals? Monitor? Use PCPartPicker wherever possible.
