Ryo is a reversible USB adapter which means no more figuring out which way to plug in a USB!

"The ryo adapter is an easy, cheap way to eliminate frustration and protect your technology investments. It's small, compact and adds virtually no bulk to your cables or devices. Simply attach it once and your cables can be plugged in.. BOTH ways."

It will also work with "all your existing cables, doesn't matter if you have an Android, iPhone, iPad, Windows phone, gaming mouse or a portable hard drive"

It was developed by Julian Chow (from New Zealand woohoo!) and Kevin Lieber (from Vsauce 2)

They are asking for $15000 and have already reached over $20000 with 32 days to go. You can get your hands on a pack of 3 adapters for $15.

These guys have also made quite a cute flash drive called Kushi using the same reversible technology.

There's gotta be some sorta catch to this. My guess is the pcb inside of the connector is too thin to withstand thousands of insertions and removals, and over time will wear out and snap. I very well may be wrong though.
