Hi, I'm curently planning my first build and it's getting to the final stages, but as this is my first build i'd like some input from you here on the forum: what is a better alternative, what's missing, is the parts compatible, is it good enough. And so on...

1. Budget & Location

I have set myself a budget of about 25'000 NOK, about $4'100, and i live in Norway. Many parts arn't just USD-->NOK they cost a bit more, so that is something that shuld be taken into considiration. Komplett.no is my vendor of choice so i would prefer if they have the parts, but i have heard it's possible to call them on special parts.

2. Aim

The PC will primarly be used for gaming and a wide veriety of games will be played, from SNES emulator to the newest releases like battlefield 4 and metro last light

3. Monitors

I plan to use three monitors for soround gaming and/or using one for gaming and another for skype/spotify/firefox... I'm not interested in 3D gaming. I plan to use a gtx titan for this benefiting from it's 6GB's of RAM.

4. Peripherals

I have a gaming headset but a gaming mouse and keyboard is needed. I'm curently using a razer deathadder and i realy like that mouse, but im wondering: The new 2013 ed, do i have to be always online to use it( synapse )? Im wondering because i heard rumors about it. For a keyboard i'd like a mechanical keyboard with not too loud switches, but i don't know wich.

What i have so far: ($=USD)

Asus z87 gryphon motherboard -- 1249NOK = $204.84

Corsair H80i cpu cooler -- 849NOK = $139.24

Corsair obsidian 350d w/sidepanel case -- 1000NOK = $164

Corsair vengence DDR3 1600MHz 8Gb ram -- 799NOK = $131.04

Creative sound blaster ZxR sound card(could most likely be removed if needed) -- 1649NOK = $270.44

Gainward GTX TITAN 6Gb GPU -- 7895NOK = $1294.81

Intel 4770k CPU -- 2499NOK = $409.85

Intel ssd 520 series 240Gb -- 1999NOK = $327.84

Windows 7 -- 1395NOK = $228.79

BenQ GL2460HM 24" screen X3 -- 2997NOK total = $491.52

Total 22 331NOK = $3662.37

I know i'm missing a PSU but I don't how many watts and what brand, I would prefer modular.

Also mice/keyboard

Fire ahead!

(Pardon my poor grammar)

Just get a 750W~ PSU from a reputable company (Corsair, Antec, NZXT, etc.) and you should be fine as long as you don't plan throwing extra stuff in there.

You'll definitely want a mechanical keyboard, so check out some of Linus's keyboard reviews to find a style you want (I like corsair's new stuff). If you haven't typed with Cherry MX switches before, try to find some to try out before making a purchase. Things to find out what you prefer:

  1. Actuation force
  2. Typing comfort
  3. Tactile
  4. "Clicky" sound
  5. Actuation speed (linear i.e. reds vs. clicky non-linear i.e. blues)

There are also plenty of options for mice out there. It depends on what you plan to do with it. Just google around / watch some unboxings to see what you want. Do you need 12 side buttons for MMO playing? Would you prefer claw grip over palm for the size of your hand? Is how the mouse looks all that matters to you? With the kind of budget you already have, set aside $200-250US for keyboard and mouse to be set.

EDIT: Also, if you have space, look at the H100i instead of the H80i. You'll get better performance with the dual 120mm.

The problem with most of the shops in my area is that they focus on everyday electronics like washing machines and cofeemakers and little computer harware. Those who do, like komplett, are soley online. But it's curenly summer vacation here so maby i'll find a shop during my travels to test mechanical keyboards. For a mouse i like the deathadder and palming it, a mouse has to be comfy, and a massive amount of buttons is unnseccery since MMO(RPG)'s is one of the few types of games i don't play.

Thank you very much for your reply!

No problem! If you can't get around to trying keyboards then I think you could be safe getting a keyboard with Reds. It might not be ideal for you, but since you never tried any others I guess you wouldn't know what's better  :D. Deathadder is nice too btw. I'm not a razer fanboy, but I love my naga. The mouse software is a bit annoying at times though....

as rustikles said reds are a good choice if you dont get a chance to test but another fantastic choice is browns, something like the G710+ is a fantastic keyboard and so far is my favorite, it was a tough debate between that and the new k70's with i think red if i remember right but i ended up with the browns :) it even has factory installed o rings to help reduce the sound of the key switches

Is the corsair cx750m a good choice? I was looking at the ax760i but the extra fetures seem redundant to me.

Your build looks solid the power supply should be a hawell compatible power supply you can go with a cx 750 semi modular  ps or a gs 2013 series three 700 ps as your mouse stick with razor deathadder as far as keyboard stick with what you have and save for a mechanical keybourd
