Busted USB Flash Drive

I have a 16GB Flash Drive that reads and writes extremely slow. I've tried formatting it over and over using different methods to no avail. Any advice as to try and fix it or what I can use it for?

 

Benchmark results from HD Tune

 

Minimum: 0.7 MB/s

Maximum: 0.9 MB/s

Average: 0.9 MB/s

 

Any help appreciated.

+1 It might be a bad drive. I would exchange it or return it. What is the USB model?

The problem is someone just gave it to me, I can't get return it.

I don't know what model it is. It looks exactly like this one, same colour except it says 16GB.
