Honestly these guys do not know what they are saying because I have personal experiences with the AMD FX series. Specifically the 8320. The AMD will outdo the Intel for recording (it might be different for different people based off settings) and significantly better for streaming if you wanna do that. The cpu also controls very little of the fps so the intel isn't going to be like 50 more fps maybe 6 more fps. My friend spent $677 USD on his build with the AMD FX-8320 and gets 350+ fps without overclocking on high settings, so the gpu is really more important than the cpu. In my opinion just go with the cheaper cpu and get close to the same performance. I feel like saving money suffering maybe 2% the performance would be the better choice. But if money isn't that much and you can come up with it just like that than go for what you want.

just get the cheapest i5 of the latest gen, EVERYTHING thats more expensive gives around 1% improvement for gaming at the very best, aka a fucking ripoff

do not get the i3, its shit,

the only other option is the tier lower amd fx 6 and 8 cores, but, really go with the cheapest i5

But, if you plan on streaming - ye AMD all the way. Also, editing on AMD is way faster than on intel... anything that you can think of that will use more than 4 cores. Background skype is a nonissue for any cpu.

Btw, wasnt this supposed to be under CPU section, not display one?

hello I am about to pick a new computer and I have a problem on choosing cpu...In my opinion I must go with the fx 8350 and save some money but everybody says nooo get the i5 4690k...but I have to pay 60 extra euros...will I get so much extra performance???

The answer is no, not really.

A bigger performance boost will come from using an SSD for a boot drive.  If you are not including an SSD, get a cheaper CPU + SSD and you will have a better experience overall.

Or, invest the extra money you save into a better GPU.

and I probably wouldnt buy a GPU right now either...  I believe April is when the new r390 is suppose to release so prices on other gpu's should come down.

to add. I believe current 8 cores will future proof you somewhat..
