Was taking apart a friends pc today, this happened.

It took awhile to get that CPU off the cooler.

For those wondering it's an FX-6300 and the stock cooler.

Can't really think of anywhere else to put this in as it's not really asking for support or anything, so I put it in off topic.

Current PC build:

=== CPU: Intel Pentium G3258 (Anniversary Edition)  === Motherboard: Asus H81m-PLUS  === RAM: 8gb DDR3 === GPU: GTX 460 (Considering the RX 480) === Case: Corsair SPEC-01 === Storage: 2x 160gb 7200rpm HDD and 1x 500gb 7200rpm HDD === PSU: EVGA 500w === Cooling: Intel Stock Cooling ===

How do you get it out if its locked down in the socket again?

That's happened too me why too many times, only once have I gotten bent pins from it, I'd recommend some new thermal paste. Some NH-T1 or something.

Well, when trying to pull the cooler off, the CPU also came out. It was locked down though.

Do you have a question or anything? Or are you just wanting to talk about it? Cause if you just wanna talk, I built a friend a computer last week and we put an old (not working) CPU on his case... thermal paste down... And it left a ton of paste on his case. We tried wiping/scraping it off, and now a large chunk of his top of the case is a grey color. Good times!

Don't really have a question. Just wanted to show it, because I really wasn't expecting this to happen. Sucks to be your friend.
