its obviously not for us gamers

its not for the pro editors

then who is this ment for with that heftily priced machine with low end specs

haha, Apple is making waaaaay to expensive stuff for normal use, it's just like you have to be like the most famous man on earth to use apple related products, because people with apple products are obviously waaaay better than the android and Windows Phone users.

It makes me a little angry on how apple is misleading the world..

I don't see the point in going thinner. It does not really matter if its 13 or 20 mm (Unless you are talking about something like an Alienware, god those laptops are thick) I'd rather have good battery life and performance.

Ah, you are forgetting how many Apple die-hard fans out there that would buy anything Apple (This is why apple is trying to get into the car industry).

You could probably sell anything that has an Apple logo on top of it. ;)

It's targeted toward Apple sheep. A minimum of 1.29k for a glorified tablet? Give me a break.

That said, it is a gorgeous machine and that's what Apple expects to sell this based off of.

You probably could fool someone to buy it... But that would not be very ethical now would it  :P

The track pad seems really cool, and I'd love to see something like that force touch feature make it to a regular mouse.

As for the thing itself... it has a single USB port and the price is absurd. I'd like to believe that nobody would be foolish enough to wast money on this, but you know, Apple followers...

I think it's a beautiful device. most Apple devices are. but what kind of battery life can we expect out of this thing? It's not big, it's not powerful, but it's also far too thin to use a normal battery. the battery it has will have the consistency of about five layers of duct tape. And I really have to question the simply atrocious I/O. Apple really gets on my nerves when they do this. It's like a fashion model getting skinnier and wearing fewer and fewer clothes. You're gonna have to get so many adapters for this damn thing, they're all gonna come from Apple, and they're all gonna be $40 a piece.

It's good that they're pushing USB C at least. That's good, but could the seriously not do anything else.

Haptic feedback on the touchpad is cool. That's innovative.

This laptop makes me want a GS60. Full I/O.

Let's be honest, how perfect is this machine for sitting in a cafe and writing a screen play? While wearing thick-rimmed glasses, a maroon hoodie and a multicoloured beanie hat, of course.

I... I have a maroon hoodie. I kinda don't want to wear it again now. :D

I mean, let's be honest here, any human being on planet earth can be a hipster if they really wanted to be. The only hurdle you have to jump over is the Olympus Mons-dwarfing "want to be a hipster" hurdle.

It's meant for idiots with LOTS of money and brittle bone syndrome who can't lift more than 2 pounds. (if you can't tell I hate this trend of "MUST HAVE EVERYTHING UNGODLY THIN" where people screw power/storage/cooling)

It looks like a $300 laptop.

No, a $300 laptop would probably have more... everything... to it.

Ha, the new alienwares are thin as hell as far as AW machines are concerned. CPUs and GPUs both soldered to board.

I have finally moved to a desktop. Also my guides are outdated as hell.

THE INFORMATION GUIDES: SLI INFORMATION || vRAM INFORMATION || MOBILE i7 CPU INFORMATION || Maybe more someday

I just checked the new alienware laptops it's still quite thick (34mm, the old one was 44mm). The battery life is still crappy compared to most other laptops in the market.

Once a laptop is below 25mm then the thickness does not really matter.
