kernel security check error

Yesterday whilst I was about to shut down my PC, browsing the web at that time, a blue screen comes up with a kernel security check error. Says it needs to restart PC but my PC wouldn't work from then. Everything in the motherboard works fine, the Pc sounds like its booting up normally however there is no display and my keyboard doesn't work.

My specs are:

Fx 6300

7850

Asus 980de3

8gb Hyperx ram 1882

650watt tx corsair

Also just to let you guys know.

A few hours beforehand I was playing farcry 3, a few minutes in and the BLOD appeared. After I restarded the PC it was all fine for the next few hours.

Sounds like the GPU could have failed, do you have on-board graphics or a spare GPU you could try?
