My first gaming desktop was in a chrome/silver case, it had a huge glass side and lots of lights showing etc but now that im older i couldn't stand having something like that in my apartment lol

If i have someone over all they see is a _929EBE8E-CC93-4C66-82BA-0BB8BD6F3AEB.jp with a 250D tucked away, i wouldn't want some over the top disco ball sitting in the corner hehe.

I run a LED store and have spend the last few years testing and experimenting with LED Controllers, this is what I have found through loads of testing with loads of remotes (lost count on how many as I threw most of them in the bin)

Depends on where you get them, most manufactures use the same look, and I mean they look the exact same, I have had loads of these, some failed some didn't (all from different companies).

Both RF and IR controllers have issues, in fact 80% of the IR controllers I have tested either broke within a week or never worked to begin with all from different companies. The RF controllers started off the same but with around a 75% failure rate all from different companies and then I found a company and so far with this company every remote has worked.

IR = Inferred (controller needs a line of sight to the receiver) (Other IR remotes such as TV remotes may also interfere and change the LED colors when you change channel)

RF = Radio Frequency (Receiver can be hidden and controlled from different rooms in your house)

I find most IR units to be absolute garbage, and the RF units to be better if you know where to get the good ones from.
