Software or hardware RAID?

There is not so much diffrence i say go with software since its easier

He is the hero this forum deserves but not the one it needs right now.So we'll hunt him because he can take it because he is not our hero he is a silent guardian

With software like Flexraid you can add drives easily, hardware raid you have to back it all up.

Hardware raid is only cost-effective if you have mission-critical data which needs to be available as often as possible with high levels of performance.

 

Software raid (as well as snapshot raid) is good for media files and document backup.

software RAID is just fine but if you want a more safe and fool proof RAID solution then just use hardware RAID from the MOBO and be happy !
