cant activate xmp

I have the gigabyte z97mx-gaming 5 mobo with 8gb of 1600mhz. When I entered at bios, i couldnt clicked the xmp (just disabled)

that means that your ram doesnt have an XMP profile

What type/brand of RAM are you using some RAM doesn't support XMP profiles, if it happen to be the Kingston Fury they don't have XMP but they should basically just work at their rated speed in almost all situations.
