Is it worth it?

Sooo, I found a brand new OEM r9 290x on ebay, 2 weeks returns and 100% positive, for 235 euro.

I game about 40% mobas, 20% Shooters, 35% RPG's (like dragon age) and 5% others.

I currently have the msi r6950 oc, clocked at retail since my cooling cant handle OC. My cpu is a 2500k from intel, and a 650w psu.

So... Do you guys think its worth it?

Normal new r9 290x's is about 320 dollars, or 300 euro.

The OEM cooling might be subpar for that gpu but for that price you might want to consider it.

Reference cooler with the 290x is a big no-no.

It's louder than all other current graphics cards.

Have to agree with the above. I'd suggest looking into an R9 280X... cheaper, doesn't run quite as hot/loud as the R9 290/290X (especially the ref models) and from the sounds of it more than enough to handle all the games you play. The R9 280X is a pretty big upgrade over the 6950, too... benches suggest around 80% performance increase.

If you are going to be playing dragon age inquisition, the 290x will be better. Sucks that it's reference, I would suggest getting a kraken G10 for it, but then you wouldn't be saving money over buying a properly cooled 290x.
