eBay question

So I am trying to buy a Galaxy S5 on eBay. I asked the seller to check the ESN and he checked it and showed me the results through messages, but what if its not clear and its not able to be activated? I have a nice paperweight. He didn't list the clear ESN part in the description, so does that mean its not covered by eBay? Should I buy it or not?

If you have contacted the seller via eBay's internal messaging services and he clearly shows/states the clear ESN and it turns out its not OK then eBay will refund. Either that or you can chargeback on Paypal (they always side with the buyer)
