i live in the us its for gaming and some audio production

What is "some" audio production?  Do you get paid?  Is it just a hobby?

@TheMadHatter Also, the ASUS Maximus is almost always a waste of money... tell me, what is your reasoning for wanting it?

hey if i was to take away the 2 extra monitors can we go x99 or its not worth it, also what about x79

The motherboard has next to no performance impact in a build... it only effects overclocking and its not a good idea to water cool it... if you put a cheaper board in it we can put a better GPU in for more performance!

That's an old socket, do you mean 2011-3?

@TheMadHatter Ok, if you are looking at a 5820K or higher with DDR4 and 3 monitors for $1500... you are a MADHATTER.  Goodluck.

lol ya I was trying to figure out what he was talking about!

I made this and its really good for the price for what he needs! http://pcpartpicker.com/p/XtdwFT  (exept the MOBO thats one he wanted..)

I don't know where to start... You don't need the X99 build, you can actually get more gaming performance from a Z97 platform.

You have all that expensive hardware and some crappy displays.  With displays you have options: Do you favor high refresh rates(144Hz) to make use of 120+ FPS in games?  Do you favor a higher level of detail from a 1440p display over the 1080p?

The Hyper 212 is a great cooler, but it will be a limiting factor in your overclocking of that CPU.

Your power supply is way too much even for two GTX 970s in SLI.

As you have not really went into detail as to what you will be doing in front of your monitors, I have to use the little information you have provided.  You want a gaming rig mainly and you enjoy doing audio work.

So, I went with a Xeon E3-1231.  Clock-for-clock it is the same as the i5 4690K, or the i7 4790K so your games will run great.  The Xeon has a locked multiplier, so overclocking is limited to the FSB(BCLK).

The Xeon has hyper-threading so when you do audio work, and your programs allow for it, you can utilize the extra four thread to speed up your work.

If you are dead set on having an unlocked multiplier, you should go for the i5 4690K and an Corsair H55 AiO.  I prefer the 120mm AiO because they do perform great and they look really good when compared to a tower air cooler.

The displays are dual, because GOOD triple displays are not a viable option at your budget.  The main is 144Hz so your games will play noticeably smoother when your hardware can drive it.  The second display is a basic IPS for productivity.

The build is ready for a second GTX 970, should you see the need for one.  The 750W bronze PSU is enough for two of those cards.

yeah that look a lot better

but hey you said that for 1500 it was not possible i gimped out on the displays so i could get 3

might use that 144hz monitor instead of 3 chepo ones

after some thinking i will be going for the gtx 980 and a pny 480 gb ssd tell me what you think

http://pcpartpicker.com/p/tPDNTW i know its over budget but it has everything

if you can make something better for 1500 pls tell me as this is 500 over budget. also i find myself in more fl studio and logic on my mac than gaming. finally can you stay on the x99 platform and stay on budget

I will drum up some more builds, but why do you want the 5820K?  The i7 4790K and the i5 4690K are both potentially better for gaming.  The DDR4 RAM does absolutely nothing for you other than drain your wallet.

As far as your $1500 X99 build with three monitors, it has no drives... and it is $1600, not $1500.

@TheMadHatter  I cleaned up your build.  Ask any questions as to why I made any particular change.
