Hi forums!

This will be my first post here instead of tom's hardware and hopefully I can get my question answered here. I've been thinking about upgrading my CPU cooler soon so that my 4690k doesn't have to stay at stock clocks forever and while originally thinking about the U-14s, I decided on the R1.

I already have my fan setup planned out, but I just wanted to double check with someone who might have experience with it. I do have high profile ram, so I was thinking that I would just switch the front fan over to the back, would that be ideal? (I don't want to get the universal because I want the black on the ultimate haha.)

Thanks.

You can get the slim fan that comes with the universal & order the ultimate separately, then you'll have a black universal basically.

I had one and it was awesome, would totally recommend it to others.
